Hi

We have a Sharp UP3300 POS Terminal. I have 3 terminals connected (2 in the bar area and 1 in the restaurant. There seems to be an error with the restaurant till (000002) When I try to do a x read/ Z read it comes up with power off 000002. The machine is turned on but seems to be playing up. How do I disconnect this from the system so when I do X/Z reads it only draws a report from the 2 bar tills (000001 and 000003) The restaurant till rarely gets used so for the time being it can be completely disconnected.

I have had a look at the manual but as its an old system its not the easiest thing to use!

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give

Regards

Dan

Is the cabling all ok and the correct 50ohm terminators are present? I'm assuming they are 3300s with bnc connectors. You might get away with just recreating the IRC (Inter Register Communication) between the machines to solve the problem. If not the IRC will need to be changed to a two till system. If they are 3301s then they use normal networking for their IRC.
However this isn't a job for a busy saturday night!
