Tried an external power supply, didn't resolve the issue hmmmm must be some setting that needs to be changed....

Are you definitely using the correct Sharp adapter cable between the scanner and cash register?

Absolutely, wasnt the easiest thing to get a hold of to be honest!!, I'll try it on a UP700 see if it does the same with that......

I can send you the scanner set up sheet if you need it, but it's exactly the same set up for every other sharp models apart from some of the xe-a range.
I still think it's the till. Problem is not many customers went for the 450s. Something is rattling in my head about that happening with a 450s that I set up. Just can't remember exactly what it was!
