Been messing about with a 450S Got the scanner (Voyager MS9540) all up and running with the register defaults i.e 4800 Baud Rate, 7 Bits, 1 Stop bit, ODD Parity, Programmed in a few bar codes, all which work, however if I scan one bar code, then almost straight after it, scan a different bar code, its almost the register isn't quick enough to deal with that second request, if i wait say 5 seconds then scan its ok, would increasing / changing some settings resolve this issue so you can scan items without having to wait for a while in between scans if that makes sense?!
Can you print out the service settings and make sure line 923 is 0000.
I know these lines aren't supposed to be applicable to the 450s, but a value in there will make it behave as if it has MWS as per a 700 and slow the machine down.
Just a thought. You are using port 8 for the scanner? The port nearest the front of the machine.
