Cash Drawer Holdup

Hi All -

I recently acquired a used sharp up 3300 and copied my existing program using the IR transfer. The problem I have is that the used machine "thinks" the drawer is always open no matter what I do, and I can't ring up customers because I'm not permitted to make entries while the drawer is open. This was not the case before I did the IR transfer. The drawer continues to function normally when tested in diagnostic mode, however diagnostic mode only sees both drawers 1 and 2 as always open. I tried switching the cable between 1 and 2, no change.

I've given up on trying to fix the drawer sensor, and I was hoping that someone could walk me through how to get the register to IGNORE that the drawer is open, as it still functions normally. Again, the machine functioned fine prior to the IR receive.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Jeff

Answered my own question - Went into srv mode > system preset > I think it was option 13 and changed the value from 0004 to 0000. This allows entry with cash drawer open.

Presumably the register providing the original copy didn't allow for that on the second cash drawer port.

Just reading your posts there. When you did the data transfer, did you do it in program or service mode? If you do it in program mode, the service and file settings don't transfer.
