I have just turned on the sps2000 after several months of not using it and it is making a noise like a fan with bad bearings. This noise changes if i tilt the sps2000. I thought this machine was fanless! can anyone shed light on what it might be and how to fix it?
Thanks

well if the fan is noisy ............
change the fan! lB

or remove it completely - its not a processor cooler - its a case fan located centrally in the lower part of the cabinet below the screen

Yeah, way ahead of you. took the sps2000 apart soon after my opening post and found the fan.
My original question was posted as sps2000 is marketed as 'fanless'!

well yours is now!
its an early model then - the early ones had fans and dodgy power supplies
