Hi all,
I have been tirelessly searching the internet for some software that will enable me to connect to my SPS-2000 over my network.
All I seem to keep seeing is software called Samstock. I dont need stock control software and at £400 thats way to expensive for my needs.
What I want to be able to do is pull reports from the SPS-2000 remotely via my network. Surely this is possible as the SPS-2000 has and RJ45 network port on the back of it.
I have downloaded a demo copy of Samstock just to see if its any good and I cant even begin to see where the settings are to connect to the till.
Any ideas?

Theres nothing else available that I am aware of that uses ethernet communications other than Samstock. You will need the very latest version of Samstock and the very latest firmware for the SPS2000 as this feature has only just been released.
Also, to do VPN communications you will require the router supplied by the UK Distributor as this has specific setting that enable VPN between Samstock and the SPS2000. The cost of the router is very reasonable compared to the next available router with the same features. Dont try a standard router supplied by your ISP as you are wasting your time, it wont work.
In addition the latest Samstock allows for SMS and email messaging of reports to specific mobiles or email addresses amongst other new features.
If you are just wanting to have sales reports from your SPS2000 on you PC, I suggest waiting a few weeks as there are some new releases coming.

Thanks for your reply.
I had a further play around with Samstock and I did see the connection settings. However the Network option was grayed out and not available for the SPS-2000.
I have been looking for the latest firmware for the SPS-2000 but cant find it anywhere.
As for a VPN to the SPS-2000, well I used to be a network engineer so I may well be able to get them to communicate with one of my routers.
What new releases are you referring to? Is this a new release of Samstock or firmware for the SPS-2000 or something else?

Latest version of Samstock and SPS2000 software is now available with Ethernet communications and VPN option. Have a chat with you local dealer, he should be able to sort you out. You want find it any websites yet!
