Hi.

We have been using an ser 7000 for a few years as a stand alone till. As we’ve got bigger we need two tolls and bought another ser 7000 second hand.

We are now having trouble linking them? Do you use IRC port or serial port? And anyone any tips on how to get them linked.

Thanks.

piece of cake
you link them via IRC (inter register connection)
for two tills, you only need a crossover cable. If you don't have one then use a switch or a router between the tills and connect them via two straight through cables.
then you need to go into systems options menu and set up the till numbers - i assume till 1 and till two-
decide if you are using floating clerk
if you are a restaurant - [people never tell us here what type of business their machines are in use in so it makes it tricky to make assumptions] set up which till holds the check tracking data.
the rest of the options are up to you really.
rest assured that the 7000 in my opinion is still the best till that sam4 ever came up with and i'm gutted its not still available.

Thanks. It’s for a Christmas retail outlet so won’t be using floating clerk.

We’ve used one till for years and managed to buy some more off eBay this year.

I’ll try this at the weekend.

Do you know how to get the VAT amount to print on the receipt?
