scanner-usb problem for sps 530

all scanners are configured via a series of barcodes supplied with the scanner. cheap scanners tend to ship without scan codes and are therefore not configurable.
things such as barcode types [ean 8 ean16 etc] and wether or not the code is followed by a line feed or a carriage return.
without the carriage return option, you cant use it with a cash register
[if you scan 2 codes in notepad, do the codes appear on the same line or on different lines?]
[thats a start line feed and carriage return are difficult to tell apart]
