Hi all,

First off, great site. lots of useful info.

I am trying to set a 10% discount button on my till.

I have 2 of these tills and one of them keeps jamming so ive changed it with the new one, but the 10% discount key has not been programmed in on this one. Ideally I want a key that will take 10% off the subtotal, can this be done?

Ive just been told that the OPEN amount key does not work either.

Can anyone help me on this?

Thanks

DoZZa

Hi,

Do you already have a discount key on the keyboard but it's just not working or do you not even have one at all?

Yes It can be setup to take 10% of the Subtotal, I'll try to guide you through that.

With the Open Amount key what happens when you try using it, do you get any messages?

Cheers

You dont say if the discount key is actually on the keyboard.

To program the discount key to the keyboard. (If the keys on the keyboard skip this section)
1: Turn key to S Mode.
2: Enter 20 on the numeric keypad.
3: Press [SUBTOTAL] key.
4: Enter 14 on the numeric keypad.
Note if you want more than one discount key (max 10) then enter 15 for discount key 2 ~ 23 for discount key 10.
5: Press the key you want to be a Discount key and press it again.
6: Turn key back to REG position.

**** OPTION 1 **
If you want the discount to work with different discount rates then follow this section.
1: Turn key to PGM position
2: Enter 70 on the numeric keypad
3: Press [Subtotal] key
4: Enter 10400 on the numeric keypad
5: Press the [Discount] key
6: Press [CASH] key to finish.

To test, turn key to REG position
Enter sale
Press [Subtotal] key
Enter a discount rate. ie 5% 5.00 on keypad
Press [Discount] key.
Discount should be given.

* OPTION 2 ***
If you want the discount key to be a fixed 10% then follow this section.
1: Turn key to PGM position
2: Enter 70 on the numeric keypad
3: Press [Subtotal] key
4: Enter 10000 on the numeric keypad.
5: Press the [Discount] key
6: Press [CASH] key to finish.

To enter a fixed rate of 10%
1: Turn key to PGM position
2: Enter 90 on the numeric keypad
3: Press [Subtotal]
4: Enter 10000 on numeric keypad (This is the discount rate of 10%, 5% would be 5000)
5: Press the [Discount] key followed by the [CASH] key
6: Turn key back to REG mode and try it.

** Now for the OPEN Price key *****
To program the OPEN Price key to the keyboard.
1: Turn key to S Mode
2: Enter 20 on the numeric keypad
3: Press [SUBTOTAL] key.
4: Enter 57 on the numeric key pad
5: Press the Open price key and press it again.
6: Turn key back to REG mode

Hope that does the trick....
