We have been operating with the SAM4s SPS-2000 system for almost 2 years with no problems. Then all of a sudden when trying to submit orders to our cooks the screen says printer offline and it will not print the order for the cooks. I have unplugged it, reset it and almost set it on fire! Please help?!?!?!?!

1 find out which till number and comms port the kitchen printer is attached to.
2 go to the printer and turn it off, hold down the feed button and power it up. let go of the button then press the button once more to complete the test printout.
3 try sending items to the printer from the till that it is actually connected to.
if that works, investigate the network cabling between tills
if it does'nt, investigate the cable from the till to the printer.
if that is ok, check your plu status group programming for the relevent plus
check kitchen printer routing if all that is ok,
call a qualified engineer
