I have a cash register sam4s er265 and the lcd screen has gone blank...it still works - adds and prints receipts I just cannot see what we are typing in as the lcd screen is pitch black...please help!!!
i dont know that particular model but i have been caught out with others by the contrast control.
Check that someone has not caught it accidentally and added excessive contrast.
some models - such as the sps 1000 have thumbwheel controls at the front left hand side of the cabinet. Others have buttons on the keyboard that adjust contrast ie, when logged off, the page up / page down buttons become contrast up / contrast down.
this is a general answer - untill someone with better knowledge of that machine replies
