i cannot connect it to the pc i have the error report thats says "REGISTER NOT READY" i am scared to do anything as i dont want to risk loosing any sort of data? what can you advise me?

you have not set up the port correctly
s mode, 80subtotal 5 times 1 cash cash make sure you use port 1
i assume the cable is correctly wired?
assume the correct version utility for the eprom in your till?
if you are that scared, suggest you delegate the job to your local dealer - its cheaper than the time needed to reprogram from scratch
