Hi Everyone
I have a er5215-m that a customer asked me to look at (I mainly do computer repairs). I have programed PLUs and stuff like that into this type of register before so I am somewhat familiar with how to do programing through the register. It looks like someone tried to reprogram it and failed. It has a five key configuration but all of the keys are to be shifted one to the right ie(9 the nine key is now the eight). This makes getting access to clear the memory or any other programming impossible, the subtotal key does not work. Does any one know if there is a way to repair/reset the progam or is it ready for the junk pile?
Thanks in advance

that's the second case of keyboard mapping error i have come across with that model.
though now obsolete, your dealer may be able to send the board off for the relevant chip to be replaced.

but before that, you could try putting it in firmware ugrade mode from the service position on the locl?
though if the cash key effectively falls off the end of the keyboard, im not sure what else you can do !dunce
