I am about to purchase a ER-920 for a pub and have managed to work out from a downloaded manual how best to set it up and have used this forum for advice on things like happy hour prices and half pints. But I have one question. The register can save and restore the program to a SD card and instructions are given on how the logo can be prepared in the PC utility and then copied to the SD card and loaded to the register. My question is whether I can copy the PLU's from the SD card to a PC, edit them with the PC utility and then copy them back to the register via the SD card. If it can be done then I will not have to decide whether to buy a RS232 cable to used on my aged XP desktop or to try and set up a virtul port via port 4 on the register to a win 7 laptop.
Thank you for any help.
