if we bought the software and downloaded the reports into our computer can we then do anything alphabetically.

If you're talking about SamStock then I haven't used it myself, but I'd have thought so.

Any back office software should give you the ability to export to Excel format so you can do whatever you want with the data.

yes - you can export your reports to excel and manipulate it as you wish.
