Welcome to EpoS Wizard!
I have managed to get it back to offering 10% off for 1 item at a time. I used information on you site to program, below is what I used.
**** OPTION 2 ******
If you want the discount key to be a fixed 10% then follow this section.
1: Turn key to PGM position
2: Enter 70 on the numeric keypad
3: Press [Subtotal] key
4: Enter 10000 on the numeric keypad.
5: Press the [Discount] key
6: Press [CASH] key to finish.
This information was for a SER-6500 II which is probably why it is not working properly for my till.

Brian
It's strange alright. Your printout told me that it was set to discount by amount, not percentage, and yet you say it is discounting by percentage, so I think there must be some mistakes in the manual. The next thing to try would be turning on the 'allow 1 subtotal' option, and see if that works. Just look down the table in the book for the %1 key, and the yes/no options are there as numbers.
Hi,
I have found the section in the book under options - program 70.
N5 Allow only one time subtotal entry? Yes=2 No=0
I do noy know how to program this because I do not understand wht the N numbers are or how to use them.
Kind Regards,
Brian
Yes, thats the next one to try.
What you need to do is translate the yes and no options into numbers.
So for that option number, you want yes, so that digit would be a 2 when programming. Some options have multiple questions, as you can see. N5 is the digit you are working with, so if 'reduce food stamp subtotal by % entry' is no, then that would be 0, and 'allow multiple discounts without pressing subtotal' is no, then that would be 0, so 2+0+0=2. That digit =2.
Since the book seems to have mistakes in it, you will have to try playing with these option numbers to get it working the way you want. I only see these machines rarely, as they are not popular here, so I can't try the options on a machine.
Good luck.
Mark
Hi Mark,
Thanks,
I have worked it out now and have managed to program the %1 button now to accept any discount rate that I enter which is better than what I was trying to do.
Have you any idea on the VAT question that I have posted?
I will be donting to the site as you have helped a lot.
Kind Regards,
Brian
