Hi,
I am having trouble setting up discounts on my new till, I have programmed the %1 button to discount at 10% but this will only work on individual items, I can not get the discount to work for the whole sale. I scan in all the items then press subtotal and then the %1 button, 1st it says Warning sequence error but if I press the %1 button again it takes 10% off but only on the last item scanned.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Hi.
Most machines will allow you to set the discount to items, or the subtotal. It sounds like yours is defaulting to items only. I have never tried changing it on these, but we can have a go and see if it is possible.
Firstly, I need you to do a program scan of the function keys, then we can see how it is currently setup.
Turn key to P mode

X/TIME
CASH
It should print out the programming. Look down the list until you find %1. It will either have a long number next to it, or it will have a list of yes/ no options. Tell me what it says for %1, and we can get started.

Thank you for your reply, I assume the P position is PGM as I do not have just a P. When I put the key to PGM press 4 then x/time I get the message Warning sequence error.

I have worked out how to do the function key scan, I had to go to PGM mode, press 15 then sbtl then press 4 and xtime.
Below is what has been printed out.

Ah yes. I missed the beginning sequence. It seems to have only printed the function info for cash. I wonder if you need to do the sequence again, then press %1 before you end with the CASH button.
Your machine must be different to our version of the 380M, as ours defiintely has a P position, not PGM. I'm hoping there aren't other differences.
