Hi,
Any help would be greatly appreciated, with connecting a bixolon srp275 to a couple of sps2000's with ethernet cables.
Should this be plugged into the hub/switch used to irc the 2 tills, or directly into an ethernet port on one of the tills? if so with a patch or cross over cable?
Thanks
in Advance

tbh I thought the 275 was a serial printer - so regardless of what Ethernet cable you use - it wont work!

The srp can be configured for serial ethernet, usb etc by swapping the interface module on the back. I was hoping to use the ethernet setup with the printer connected to the network switch, but have not been able to get it working.
Basically what i am asking is.... does the sps2000 support ethernet printers?

Just to add quickly

I believe the new Rom version will support ethernet printers. It depends on which rom version you are using.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm using v2.00 at the moment.
It has a profile for a bixolon 270 printer from an ethernet port. I am just struggling with getting it working.
I've not manually set the terminals but can see from my router/switch they have assigned themselves 192.168.0.11 and 192.168.0.12 respectively
ON the printer i have set the ip (on printer and on sps2000) to 192.168.0.20 but it just freezes up for a few minutes before saying offline. (initially the printer was set to 192.168.1.123 which gave an offline response immediately)

Any ideas greatly appreciated, otherwise, ill have to get a serial port for the printer, then find somewhere that sells a 15m serial cable?
