Hi All

I have a 5200 which we have just started to get to grips with via the PC.

We ran a report program and nothing more than that really, I think we changed the name.

Now the register beeps with one long beep with an error code E00 or E29 (random really) It does this whether in pc com or just by touching a button and th only wa y we can stop the beep is to turn off or to another setting p to c or reg etc.

I have tried the switch on holding the sub tot button but it beeps straight away.

Is there a master reset? or has anyoine any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Its not really clear whats going on.

The E00 means you have press the keys in the wrong sequence. Standard operation error.
The E29 means that the communications port is not setup correctly. Can you still connect to the PC?

Thanks for getting back!

Basically if you turn the key to any operation then press a button it starts to beep and displays a code, I say random but it seems to be the same codes E00 and E29 and I think E06 also. This happens if you press a button on the keypad or as soon as you connect with the PC cable.

If I go to the PC S/W and go to 'check status' for instance with the register in C mode as soon as it communicates it starts to beep.

If I try and set it up in comms mode with the code I cant quite remember just now, as soon as I touch a button, any button it beeps.

Its almost as if the keyboard has lost all its settings, so I though is there a hard reset to factory default that I can do. Is there an internal battery for instance that can be taken out and reset?

Thanks in advance

Keith
