Does anyone know how to change the baud rate on an Olivetti PR4RT printer. I have one communicating at 9600 and want to change it to 19200?

5/12/2008.

Latest Update. I have managed to change the baud rate successfully. Next Issue is that I wish to use it as a receipt printer with an old Uniwell MX750 ECR. The ECR has a RS485 port to talk to an IRC network. I have a RS485 to RS232 converter to connect to the RS232 port on the printer.
Does anyone have any experience in how to get this up and running? ie what flags do I need to set on the Uniwell to tell it it has a receipt printer and what flags do I need to set to get it to communicate?
Also should it be a straight through serial cable or a null modem cable?

all help appreciated

thanks Lyndon

Hi Lyndon,

I never noticed this post before with it being in the Other models section. I saw your post on ewanrobers topic and decided to search for it.
Anyway, I've found a little information out although it's probably not what you want to here, already answered it on the other post so check it out on there:
