DESCRIPTION
The position will include but will not be limited to:
*Dealing with technical queries for new customers purchasing Electronic Point of Sale products (touchscreen systems, cash registers, receipt printers, barcode scanners, etc.).
*Answering technical questions and guiding customer to the most suitable products.
*Configuration and setup of new systems to customer’s requirements
*Providing technical support for existing customers - troubleshooting issues and guiding customers to resolve these issues
*Researching and compiling information about new products. Becoming familiar with these products and compiling technical support information about these products
*Training will be provided but ability to research and become familiar with new products on your own initiative is essential.
SKILLS REQUIRED
*Excellent IT skills and knowledge essential and will be tested at interview.
*Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
*Good communication skills essential to guide customers through technical issues
*Experienced working on own initiative
*High level of self motivation essential.
*Successful candidate must be meticulous, accurate and have great attention to detail.
*Knowledge or experience in IT hardware setup (printers, networking, etc.)
*Ability to investigate and research information online and by telephone, present findings clearly and accurately.
*Excellent level of written & spoken English.
*University degree a plus but not required.
*Experience with graphic or web design would be an advantage.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT - WITH A VIEW FOR EXTENSION UPON COMPLETION
