ICRTouch will run quite happily in demo mode if you remove the licence file from the ICR folder

That would be a help, any ideas where I can grab a 'demo' copy?

Not necessarily. It used to be a hardware dongle, but in more recent times it is a software licence linked to the hardware platform it is installed on.

Yup, I think the actual hard drive in the till hardware is licenced to the software. Kinda begs the question what happens when the drive fails, as drives are wont to do.

It is refreshing to get some acknowledgement on this stuff thanks guys :)

Whilst I am sitting here typing, a thought from left field; does anyone here know if anyone has written an Excel/access Epos clone?

If I knew then what I know now I might have tried to save myself a couple grand and spent some time trying to bash one out. Seems there are a lot of "what I know now and wish I knew then's" littered throughout my life.

You already have one, just copy the ICRTouch folder from your till and remove the licence file

It is supposed to be installed but will run from the boxes32.exe on it's own (unless you have the CE version)
