Well it all seems to be down to the file keyconv.074

so as far as I can see this must be a Skin type issue - is there a manual /guide to the subject available to the punters who bought this kit. Or any guidance about this file ??

Connect them together using a switch or a crossover cable and do an irc initialize. Then on the one with the keyboard you are happy with go into prog 4 and change something. When you exit prog 4 it should then send it's keyboard file to the other, unless someone has turned that off. (make sure that windows screen resolutions are the same first)

If you have one installed 800x600 and the other 1024x768 then you are in trouble unless you know how to edit the registry settings and it could still go wrong unless you know what you are doing.

Well this is intriguing.

I have two "sets" of keyconv.074 files as described above.
Both sets work fine on the same till and can be modifed etc with the same operating and program software apart from this one file

If load any one of the sets I get a different number of preset key rows from the other set.

I can program the keys, alter the XML to change windows etc equally well in both sets but i can find no reference anywhere to how one modifies the basic numbers of keys and their layout - its particular annoying that I note in one set there are "half size" keys with up and down arrows on.

The difference must lie in the keyconv.074 files. files but they are in no recognizable structure and nowhere can I find a reference to changing them and there is no reference in the skinning manual.
Can anybody point me to the program that sets these layouts or the structure of keyconv.074 - it would be nice to mix and match key sizes as part of a skinning exercise!
