HELP XN900/ICR TOUCH blank screen!

I hope someone can help us, one of our xn900/icrtouch tills has developed a fault - the screen is just completely black, but the till still works. you can press buttons as if they were there and still do sales you just cannnot see anything :oops:

is there any way that it can be reset?

We have a till in our function room that we barely ever use, so we've tried bring that downstairs to replace this one but all the other tills then say "no response check master" :(

update:

on colususes advice Justin has plugged a pc monitor into the pc monitor socket on the underneath of the machine. now we can see icrtouch and use the till but it's on the wrong monitor.

Justin thinks we just need to tell windows ce which monitor is the main monitor, but he doesn't know how to do this because it's windows ce not windows xp.

does anyone know how to change this setting?

What you are describing sound like you have a hardware problem with the terminal specificaly the backlight for the screen, it won't be anything to do with screen settings within windows.

You are going to have to contact a local dealer for them to have it repaired for you, be warned this will not be cheep.

hi there colusus, thank you for your help. I was expecting you to say that, a few of our customers have been saying the same thing. we've managed to get ourselves working by properly swapping the till over with the function room till and leaving it turned on! now the check master error messages have stopped. we might talk to the till people tomorrow, i just have a feeling they probably want to sell us a new till as they have mentioned it a few times recently!
