Hi all, this might seem to be a silly question to you experts out there. I am opening a bar just selling drinks. The instructions for my till (and most others I have seen) go on about departments and PLU's. I assume the PLU is "Guinness" say but what is the department in my context. I don't know if I am being thick or the instructions assume some knowledge.

Hi Nick,

You normally have three 'levels' within the programming. Example;-

Group - Wet Sales, Dry Sales, Misc...
Department - Draught, Bottles, Spirits...
PLU - Guinness, IPA, Stella...

Hopefully that makes sense?
