Scanning a new barcode product that is not programmed into the plu memory shows PRICE ? on the screen then nothing seems to answer to logic, is there an easy way of entering the price in register without starting over and going into P1 EASY PROGRAMMING.
this quite annoying when halfway through a sale. Any suggestions?

When you see Price? after scanning a new item try inputting the price followed by a department. If the register is set up to remember barcodes then the next time the product is scanned it will work but with that department name as plu name.

Following your suggestion after PRICE? and entering the price followed by Department, the programed dept for this product group is displayed but the price is not shown and the till locks up and will not accept another entry, it showes keyboard error 1 on all attempts to clear, an S reset is then required.
Any further suggestions will be appreciated

Can you check the setting for main flag 6? It should be a combination of 1's and 0's and eight digits long
system flags checked but not changed
flag 6 set:-
1-0
2-1
3-0
4-0
5-0
6-1
7-1
8-0
Sorry to to keep bothering you but do these settings mean anything to you other than 1 , 2 & 8 which seem to be self explanatory
