That is likely data corruption due to the machine lying up for a long while. A ram clear should sort it.

Yep, that's common when they have been left sitting like Socheallaigh says.
A RAM clear will almost certainly fix it since it 'unscrambles' the memory ready for re-programming.
Geller/ Towa are good machines but it can be difficult to find information for them now. If you want full info, this manual has all programming http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/ca ... anual.html
