geller et6600, reset language?

hi guys i have just found a geller et6600 and need to do a reset, ? all i want it for is for the kids to play with, but there is a strange language that comes up with any button pressed, i dont want to pay too much for an instruction manual so if anyone can help i would be ggrateful.

The strange language is probably just scrambled characters due to memory corruption. It most likely has a faulty battery since no one ever gets them serviced on time. I think the 6600 has a rechargeable internal battery so you need someone with a soldering iron to replace that first. Once you have a new battery installed, I can try to dig up some info on a RAM clear that will get it running again. Your other option is to get another simpler register for the kids
