Qt6600 support
Hi,
Would appreciate some help/support.
Our sports club has just installed a QT6600 and there's a few things we're having issues with.
1. We use loyalty cards that can be pre-loaded. However, when we select a customer type to start a transaction all customers appear, so even if they are not present to swipe card their account could be chosen and used to pay for drinks. Is there a way to use a customer account only if a card is swiped.
2. We've set up a new department, added items to it, and set up a button. We can't however seem to get the button to work, so that the list is brought up when it's pressed.
3. I blocked a customer the other day, and now can't work out how to unblock or find them on the system again.
If anyone can help it really would be appreciated.

Hi Boony,
1) In short, yes. In order to swipe card and open a Customer Account you will need to set up the till to extract the correct portion of the card number that relates to the Customer Number in the till, then open the Customer Account. This is normally done with an arrangement that would be programmed by your Casio Dealer. You would them remove the 'Customer Number' button form the till if you did not want list of accounts to be displayed. However, what happens if a customer comes in without his card?
2) If you have actually set up a Department key that is for selling against that department, not for producing in a list of PLUs belonging to that Department from which you can ring on one. You may want to be looking at the Item Search (function code 246) key.
3) I am not sure how you can 'block' a customer, you can delete them in Manager Mode. Can you explain the steps you tool to do this please? It may be a feature in your IPL that is not in mine.

Ok, so we have to get the till setup to function in that particular way. If someone doesn't come with their card, then they wont be able to access their credit or get the special deals. I think the security is more important to us.

I managed to unblock the customer, its under the manager option and then customer.
Not sure if you can help with another problem. I somehow managed to change the sign-on key to a menu key. So now there is no way of signing on (that I can see), so bascially we can't use the till! I have tried restarting the till and selecting INIT2 but its not helped.
Is there a way to reset the system so it goes back to backedup version on the CF Card. Or is there a work around so we can sign-on?

If you have lost your Sign-on button I think there are only two ways out; 1) to use a PC based software package to put it back, or 2) completely wipe the till and then use the CF-Card backup to restore form. If you need explicit instructions for this then PM me and I may be able to help.
PS. Init2 only clears all the sales and account history not the programming, so it will not get you out if this problem.
