Help! after resetting to factory settings I try to input items into the registry by using PGM, 3sbtl, 0071sbtl, 0 for new item, it asks for PLU and when I scan any item it just beeps, does not read the barcode, and the scanner turns red and is locked up. The only thing I must then do is exit PGM and unplug the register to restet the scanner. What gives, anyone? Please!

First thing I would do is check to see if the scanner has been programmed. What model scanner is it?
