casio te-3000s problem

In Te-3000s ECR, when I scanning a new item which does not exist in the scanning PLU file in REG mode, a “Not found” error occurs. In this case, I input this item to the ECR and register it at same time. After this operation, “not found” error doesn’t occur during the next registration. I can sale it without error. But when I go to PGM 3 mode and press 0071 want to modify it, I got “PLU not found” error. It’s mean that this item still in NOT FOUND PLUs file, not merged into SCANNING PLUs FILE yet. so, I want to know how can I can this merge processing? Thanks in advanced!

Try using 0072 instead.

Do the activation step also.

Thanks Kevin,

Like you said, I did PGM 3 0072 before, but still got “PLU not found” message. According the dealer's manual page 187, the “NOT FOUND PLU” file and “NOT FOUND PLU MAINTENANCE” file sounds like two different files. Before doing activation, we have to merge “NOT FOUND PLU” to “NOT FOUND PLU MAINTENANCE” file. So, now I am confused what should I do?

You can't even delete a scanning PLU until it has been activated. Just use the activation and all should be fine.

OK, let me repeat what I did,
① Scanning a new item in REG mode, got “not found plu” error, then I input its price and select a DEPT. so, when I sale this item again, no error occurs.
② do PGM 3 0071 modify that item, got “plu not found” error.
③ do PGM 3 0072 select “1” action code to “update” that item, same error.
④ do PGM 3 4072 activation (I only have one ECR)
⑤ try step ② and ③ again. Same message “plu not found”. But I still can sale it without error in REG mode.
